My old boss is working closely with an adorable store in my home town called Airlie moon. She is doing a holiday decoration class for thanksgiving. She used nice neutral colors a pale blue, a muted green from the air plants, a nice yellow cream from the sponges and even silver painted branches and shells. Then to make it edgy she contrasted it all an iron knife set where the handle looked like a rail spike. In this case it works so well because you are not trying to blend these looks, you are using the cutlery as a showcase so the table looks more grounded than whimsical. I am always so inspired by her work, can’t wait to see what she does next for our city.

See something I love about my city is how undercover and involved it is. I guess I took that for granted growing up there. Don’t we all though, take for granted the things we see everyday. I worked on the riverwalk when I first started to love design. I worked at an amazing resturant called the Pilot House and im 90% sure they didnt know how old i was until they hired me but they gave me ashot. I ate my weight in scallops rock everytime my tips exceed the price of my gas tank and prayed we made a littlw to much soup that day. We sure were a mismatched bunch, just like any resturant. but regulars poped in like family and we spent more time with eachother than our loved onces. I worked there for awhile then nuzzled my way up to intern at River Enterpies, their host company in their events departmet. I did this while I worked on my senior project which was on chairty event design. I really did misc organization for BOH and followed around the ever so talked Katelyn T as much as posible. Everyday THEY WOULD make a giant shaken juice drink and make fun of me while i sliped it down I really never understood how much that first job would mena to me. I was lucky you see. that place was gorg.
