Monte Carlo

I will be the first to admit, before all of this traveling I couldn’t have pointed out Monaco on a map or told you it was nestled into France. I couldn’t have told you that Japan had islands or where the Amalfi Coast was in Italy. My grade school teachers would be embarrassed to know that. Even though I don’t remember being taught these things. I just never thought life would take me this far.

We knew Monaco would be expensive so we opted to stay around it on the coast before and after. We stayed in Menton before and Nice after. We also choose to eat from the grocery store to save some money. I did buy arancini from a small store in front. Arancini is my favorite stumbled upon food from my trip. that I had in Italy. I was just craving one and they are hard to find, I remember it was not all that good but oh so worth it. After eating we walked a ways and found a cast iron of an old street car, a tribute to the races in Monaco every year. We all of course took our pictures and burned ourselves when we touched the scorching hot metal. As we kept walking rather close by we stumbled across a church with stain glass in the shape of a flower and mosaic tiling in the shape of a crown! We decided to keep walking all the way until we reached the palace, I mean how big could Monaco really be.
